This 10 Perfect Days in Costa Rica for Seniors package is the ultimate getaway for savvy older adults and baby boomers!

This moderately active Costa Rica Adventure Tour Package is the ideal vacation to add to your Baby Boomer Bucket List.

This small, peaceful country only a few hours from main US hubs has so much to offer, especially for older adults or what I like to call "Savvy Seniors".

Did you know that only 1 in a million people ever get to see a volcano in their lifetimes? Now's YOUR chance!

Costa Rica is a land of volcanoes... you’ll have a chance to see the amazing Poas Volcano, iconic Arenal Volcano, Tenorio and Rincón de la Vieja.

Costa Rica, or “Rich Coast” is located smack in the middle of Central America and is lined by the Pacific Ocean to the North and the Caribbean Ocean to the South. It’s known as the most bio diverse country on Earth with a wide array of tropical birds and other fascinating wildlife.

Older North Americans love this nearby south of the border destination because of its lush rainforests, fascinating rural “Pura Vida” or Pure Life culture and stunning beaches.

One of our travelers said: "Oh my goodness.. the diversity! The people! the food! The Nature! This was my best trip ever! I've always wanted to go to Costa Rica and I finally did it! Best decision ever!"

Make your trip to Costa Rica your best trip ever and knock those must-do things off your bucket list!

Day 1: Arrival Day at your leisure — art, coffee and spa

The Xandari Resort is a playful, artsy retreat up in the mountains near the San Jose metropolitan area and the perfect way to start and end your trip. There is a world class spa on site surrounded by lush green coffee plantations, and crisp mountain air.

Day 2: La Fortuna Arenal Volcano

Head through the mountains past the La Paz Waterfall and make a must-see stop at the crater of the Poas Volcano. Take a small walk and then continue on to a delicious lunch spot.

From there we head to the base of the Arenal Volcano to your lovely mountainside hotel and enjoy dinner onsite.

Suggested accomodations: Volcano Lodge, 3 nights

Day 3: La Fortuna Arenal Volcano

Arenal Inspirations Mini-Combo Hanging Bridges, Arenal Volcano Walk

This morning, enjoy an enjoyable excursion to visit our favorite highlights of the Arenal area with a knowledgeable friendly bilingual nature guide. Make sure you keep an eye out for birds and wildlife while enjoying your walks.

Visit the majestic Hanging Bridges, take a walk in the Arenal Volcano reserve, have a delicious, local lunch and then finish off back at your resort.

You’ll then get set up for a cooking class to learn all about the healthy, natural cuisine of Costa Rica and enjoy the meal you learned to cook.

Day 4: Coffee, chocolate & cane sugar galore

After a nice relaxing breakfast with amazing views of the Arenal Volcano, head out on a wondrous walk through a field of cacao trees, coffee bushes and cane sugar as you learn about the process of these important staples of our everyday lives. Enjoy several taste tests and sit back to sip in the deliciousness.

Finish the night off at the natural hot springs to allow your body & mind relax. Includes dinner.

Day 5: Río Celeste hideaway

After a few days of action, today you’ll take a leisurely breakfast and enjoy the environs of your hotel. But today is your day to truly relax and get away from it all at the Río Celeste Hideaway, an impressive lodge tucked away in the rainforest at the base of the Tenorio Volcano.

Get settled in and allow customer service master Gabriela Mora, the general manager of the Río Celeste Hideaway and her staff spoil you at this luxurious but unassuming destination hotel.
